Accessibility

How this website is built to work for as many people as possible, what we have tested, and how to tell us about a problem.

Using this website

You should be able to:

  • use every page with a keyboard alone, with a clear highlight showing where you are
  • skip straight to the main content from the top of any page
  • zoom in, and read every page on a screen as narrow as 320 pixels without scrolling sideways
  • move around each page by its headings, which follow a consistent order
  • use a screen reader, because illustrations have text descriptions and purely decorative images are hidden from it
  • read everything with JavaScript turned off
  • avoid animation, because numbers that count up on some pages stay still when your device asks for reduced motion

Text and background colors have been checked for contrast.

How we tested

In October 2026 we ran every page of this site through an automated accessibility checker, which tests for common problems against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. It found none. We also checked the layout of every page at screen widths from 320 to 1,600 pixels.

Automated checks cannot find every problem. If something gets in your way, we want to know.
